Hiyoooooo….

It all started in our 10 ft loft space studio in DUMBO NY in 2000. It was an amazing place over looking all of lower Manhattan. Right on the Brooklyn shore. Right below the “Willie B”. ( yeah we were there that day)

Anyways… after working a long day/night ( you know how it is) 10 of us would try to get over the day. We’d play music, scooter around the space and talk a whole lot of “*#!@” Then… it would begin. Someone would lob a design idea at the rest of us. You couldn’t hear the familiar “ping” as it slammed into our email… the music was too damn loud. ( thank you Jeff and Heidi ) But slowly and surely, one by one everyone was blasting away at their computers or sketch pads answering the taunt. Soon enough we knew it was a full on design war. It lasted an hour or so. And at the end there were these amazing pieces. We would decide which one would get printed on Tees and we would parade around the coolness. This went on for years. And even after many of us had gone our separate ways and the office was no more ( so sad) we kept up the “Art Jam”.

So Kev and and I ( Art buddies since high school ) decided that we should maybe share our little jam with everyone. We do it for the love of art and strange thoughts that only come to you after you’ve worked way too long and late. We do it cause’ it gives us a chance to play like we did in our parents basements back in LI dreaming of being the next Lucas, Spielberg or Cameron. Yeah… like that…
