First Look: Will and Jaden Smith Set Scenes From M. Night Shyamalan’s – After Earth

Fresh off the presses, are new photos from the Costa Rican set of M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming offering to the Sci Fi Gods – After Earth.  Shots are of director, crew and stars, Will Smith and his son Jaden, who last wowed the world in The Karate Kid.

According to plot notes, the story is set 1,000 years in the future, and is centered around a young boy (Jaden Smith) who navigates around an abandoned Earth to save himself and his father (Will Smith) after the crash of their mothership.  Due date for this one is June 7, 2013.  Let us pray this is a Shyamalan high point – we’ve stayed true to him as fans, but he’s gotta deliver one for us. SOON!   He’s got a Summer and Holiday film release showstopper in Will Smith, and Will is growing his sturdy replacement in his son Jaden.  Here’s to hoping.
